PE & Sport Premium
Horsforth Newlaithes already has an excellent reputation for Sport and P.E. and we are proud of all of our sporting achievements. We welcome the additional funding, which will further enhance our provision and provide additional opportunities for increased participation.
Sport Premium is an amount of money which the government has agreed to allocate to schools to increase the quality & breadth of PE & Sport provision, and increase participation in PE & Sport. The funding amount received by schools is based upon the number of children of primary age at the school as well as the number of pupils in benefit of pupil premium.
Local authorities provide PE and sport premium funding for maintained schools in 2 separate payments. We receive: 7/12 of our funding allocation in October and 5/12 of our funding allocation in April.
